    Welcome to my Web site.My name is Sally Burke, School Owner, 4th Degree Black Belt, and ATA Certified Instructor.      Â     Martial arts have been a large part of my life, for the last twenty-six years. I began my martial arts career, late in life, in Pennsylvania, after a very abusive relationship. I studied the disciplines of Aikido, Judo, and ITF Taekwondo. During my training in Taekwondo and Judo, I had the privilege to attend numerous competitions, (Regional, State, and National ) and to train with Miss Keiko Fukuda  9th Dan, and highest woman judoka in the world, and Grandmaster Kyu Ha Kim 9th Dan judoka. I earned and was awarded the rank of Nidan in these disciplines.       After moving to Florida, I began my training with Master Andy Latherow, 6th Degree Black Belt from Merritt Island, Florida, in Songahm Taekwondo. Upon completion of my instructor training program, and testing with ATA headquarters, I became a ATA Certified Instructor in the year 2002. Under Master Latherows wisdom, guidance, and training, I continued to develop as an instructor, and earned the positions of Program Director and chief instructor of the Cape Canaveral school.  Tournament competition in Taekwondo has resulted in the following:  2002 thru 2007 State Champion 2003 – 2004 National Weapons Champion 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006 Forms World Champion  Completing the following training qualifies me as a Protech Certified Instructor:  Single & Double Ssahng Jeol Bong Single & Double Bahng Mahng EE Mid & Long Range Jahng Bong Ssahng Nat & S.H.A.R.P.  My life ’s goal is to pass my knowledge and love of the martial arts to others. |
